Composed of a control room & a test room, it is a special laboratory for testing engine performances. The test room ahs a mounted shock absorption foundation, independent air cooling & exhausting systems.

The laboratory is equipped with ACD30 type AC engine bench test control system made by Tianjin Keda Instrumentation CO., bench test instrumentation—44kW AC electric dynamometer system made by German Siemens CO., DZDC-55S type DC engine bench test control system made by Tianjin Keda Instrumentation CO., England five-components emission instrument, Japan λ gauge to complete the tests for engines with displacements less than 600 mL. These tests conform to the stipulations in GB/T 5363-1993, GB 14621-2002, GB 1105.1-3-87, GB/t 1859-2000, GB 3821-83, 95/1/EEC & ISO 4106-1993.

With Siemens dynamometer as power absorption unit, ACD-30 type engine bench test control system and DZDC-55S type DC engine bench test control system use a speed regulator to make a high-precision, high-quality control for dynamometer to realize dynamometer four-quadrant operation with absorbed power feedback to electrified wire netting for recovery & reuse under dynamometric conditions, all test processes automatically progressing under the system control, & have a function of automatically following engine cooling air speed.

Five-components emission analyzer can continuously measure & record HC, CO, CO2, NOx, O2 & λvalue etc data in engine exhaust gas on engine bench. Moreover, λgauge can also accomplish transient measurement.
